If you are travelling to Lisbon, it is possible to include a body casting appointment in your itinerary. We create detailed sculptures from moulds taken directly from the body, capturing the shape, texture and individuality of a moment that cannot be repeated.

Tell us your dates, who will participate and the sculpture you would like. We will confirm availability, the proposed technique and a personalised quotation.
Attend the casting session
Visit our Lisbon atelier at the agreed time. The mould itself can take from a few minutes to approximately 30 minutes, depending on the body part and technique.
Finishing and collection
The sculpture is carefully finished after the moulding session. Collection or possible international delivery is agreed according to the piece, destination and travel schedule.

Can I book a body casting session while visiting Lisbon?

How far in advance should I make the booking?
We recommend contacting us as early as possible, particularly if your travel dates are fixed or if the sculpture involves several participants. Last-minute requests may be possible but always depend on availability.
How long does a body casting appointment take?
The duration depends on the sculpture and technique. A baby mould can take approximately one minute, joined hands commonly take a few minutes, and more complex mould and counter-mould techniques can take around 30 minutes. Additional time is allowed for consultation, preparation and positioning.
Is body casting safe for newborn babies?
The moulding material is suitable for use on the skin, and the process is adjusted to be warm, quick and comfortable. With babies, we work at their pace and may use feeding, toys, songs or videos to keep them relaxed during the brief moulding stage.
What parts of the body can be used to create a sculpture?
Hands, feet, a baby’s hands and feet, a pregnant belly, torso, face, bust and many other parts of the body can be reproduced. Couples, families and pets can also be included in personalised compositions.
Can several family members be included in the same sculpture?
Yes. Joined-hand and intertwined-hand techniques can bring several generations or family members together in one piece. The most suitable composition depends on the number and ages of the participants.
Will the sculpture be ready before I leave Portugal?
Normally, the casting appointment is only the first stage. The sculpture requires careful studio work and finishing afterwards. The estimated completion time and the most suitable collection or delivery arrangement will be confirmed with your quotation.
Can the finished sculpture be sent to another country?
Possible international delivery is assessed according to the size, weight, fragility and destination of the piece. Please tell us your country when requesting a quotation so that we can discuss the available options and associated costs.
Can the session take place outside the atelier?
The Lisbon atelier is the usual and most practical setting. Home, hospital, care-home and other off-site sessions may be considered when necessary. Availability, travel requirements and additional costs are assessed individually.
Do you offer live body casting at weddings?
Yes. A live body casting performance can create a symbolic sculpture during a wedding or another special event. The experience may include the couple’s joined hands and wedding rings, allowing guests to witness the creation of the mould.
Can you travel outside Portugal for a wedding or event?
Requests for events outside Portugal are considered individually and depend on availability, travel time, transport of materials and event logistics. Send us the date, country, venue and type of performance for a personalised proposal.
